Orange, red, and, yellow

From the colors of
orange, red, and,
yellow,
turn to bare,
then to white.
And as you marvel of the beauty
of it all,
you find that soon
white turns to brown,
then green,
as summer slowly replaces
the harsh cold
of winter.

I miss summer..

 Sunlight beams through the window
as the cool breeze blows outside.
The trees sway
from side to side.
And as the day wind's down to an end,
and the day slowly turns to night,
I shall dream of summer
once again.

Change

When summer's warm wind turns cold,
and the leaves fall to the ground.
When the sky turns gray,
and wind swirls 'round,
that is when you know that winter's close.
So huddle by the fire,
and tell your stories,
and soon winter will fade once again
to summer.

Night

Silence fills the room,
Louder then any sound.
The wind howls outside,
Trees sway in the wind.
As the moon shines bright in the sky,
And the stars give their light,
We fall asleep hoping,
For the day after the night.

Rain

The rain pounds
On my windowsill.
Heavy then light,
Fast then slow.
It help the flowers grow
Big and strong.
The clouds clear,
Sun beckons through.
Hello sun, goodbye rain.

Washington bus trip

I was to go on a bus trip to Washington DC, the Capitol of the United States of America. Our first stop on the bus trip was Patterson in New York. Patterson was amazing!!!! The artwork on the walls was breathtaking and our tour guide was super nice. As we walked around we got to see how everything worked, how everything was designed and translated, it was just amazing.

Afterwords we went and stayed at our first hotel. Right across our hotel was this cute little diner called "The cup and saucer", and let me tell you this.. The burgers are AMAZING!! We went back to our room and went to bed. The next morning we got back on the bus and headed for The Walkhill farm, might I just say that this was probably my favorite part of the trip!

Walkhill was spectacular. The Walkhill farm is the part of Bethel that does printing. I think my favorite part of Walkhill was when we cold see the printing presses. Seeing how fast and efficient they work was beyond amazing! As we walked around we could see how organized everything was and just to see it all was simply spectacular. Our tour guide was really nice, and my cousin Theo knew him so we got to see some 'behind the scenes' sort of stuff. One of the things we got to see was the real estate area. We got to see the buying, the selling and the donations. The origination of everything is such a beautiful thing.

After we were done at Walkhill we headed for Washington. We got there really late at night, it must have been near to 9 o'clock by the time we finally got to the hotel. Tired from the days events I fell asleep pretty much right away. The next morning we went to the Smithsonian.

As we all piled onto the bus, I was getting really excited, I couldn't wait to go to the natural history museum! Our bus driver and my cousin Gene gave us instructions on what to do. Mum and I walked over to the natural history museum first. We decided to check out the dinosaur bones first, they were so cool! Next we decided to go and check out the hope diamond, it was so beautiful! Afterwords we went and checked out the animals and the animal photography. Lastly we went to the butterfly pavilion, it was breathtaking!! All the butterfly's of different colors, shapes and sizes, mixed in the variety of plants, it was beautiful.

After this we walked over to the American history museum. We explored for a little bit, we found the general motors area and we got to see all the innovations. Next we found the food area, and it was really cool to see Julia Childs kitchen. We finally found first lady's dresses, and they were so beautiful! We got some lunch, and we saw the counter, there was a demonstration going on and we got to see it, it was pretty cool.

Afterwords we walked over to the air and space museum, it was so cool! When we were done looking around we went back to where we had to wait for the bus. That night my cousin Kim and her husband Theo invited me to go and play some card games them them and some other people from the bus. It was so much fun. We played a game calls "Mafia" and we had loads of fun.

The next morning we went to the zoo and it was cool to see all the animals. I think that my favorite animal was either the pandas or the otters. After the zoo we went to the old post office with the clock tower, and we had a lot of fun.

To sum it all up, I had a bunch of fun on the trip to Washington, and I really hope that I can go again!

Creepy

To say that everything that has been happening is creepy would be an understatement, it's just plain freaky. I've been hiding, not a trace from my last life to be found, yet they found. Well the main thing that i needed to find out was who was the _they_ and what they wanted.

I again called mom.
"Hello?" The voice on the other end said
"Hi, dad, where are you guys??" I asked
"Were at the store, is everything okay?" Dad asked
"Ya, everything's fine, I just wanted to check on you guys."
"Okay, love you."
"Love you too, bye." I hung up. At least I knew my parents were safe.

I continued to try to get ahold of Kayla, but to no prevail.

The words continued to ring through my head "We know your secret, you can't hide anymore." they went through my head over and over again, making my head spin. Next thing I knew I was on the ground, screaming. "SHUT UP!!" I screamed over and over again, trying to get the voice to stop. I felt eyes in me, I looked up to see a face.

"Who are you?" I questioned
"I was just about to ask you the same thing" The stranger said. She looked to be about 14 or 15. She had dirty blonde hair, and was about 5'4", she had bright blue eyes and a perfect smile.
"Ya, well, I asked you first." I replied
"My name is Chloe, what's your?" she asked
"Kaitlynn, but you can call me Kait or Kat.. It's up to you."
"Well Kait, it's nice to meet you, now do you mind telling me why you were on the ground screaming?"
"It's kinda a hard topic to discuss."
"I'm game, shoot." she said
"Well.. See I was born and raised to be a spy, but after a while, all of us stopped, so I've been here living a 'normal' life. Well some people have found me and know my secret and now are putting my friends and family in danger.. And it's all my fault."

Chloe just looked at me. Would she believe me? Could I trust her, or was she with them?

Murphy's law {Paper}

Murphy's Law

I was curious about Murphy's law, and I asked my mom about it, but instead of telling me about it, she made me write a paper. So here's what I learned.

To start, the law is "If anything can go wrong, it will.". Murphy's law started at Edwards Air Force base in 1949. The law was named after Captain Edward A. Murphy. The story goes that after finding something wired wrong, he said about the technician who messed up "If there is any way to do something wrong, he will find it." Apparently the contract manager kept a list of 'Laws' and he added what Murphy said and called it 'Murphy's Law'. So this is the story of how Murphy's law came to be.

Many people however don't think that its Murphy's law, but Sod's law. The reason for this is that this guy from many many years ago was having things go wrong for him all the time, but the thing is, apparently Sod was around before documents, so there really is now proof.

Murphy's law is something that many people today all over the world still relate to, however, I don't think many people really understand what they are talking about. Just the other day my dad mentioned Murphy's law but I don't think he used it in the right context. When he said it, he made it sound like he was saying that if he said something wouldn't go wrong, then it would. This wouldn't be the right context tho, because Murphy's law is talking about if there is a way for something to go wrong, than it will.

So this is my essay, and I looked up information  but I couldn't quite make it to five hundred words, but what I did find was very interesting, and I'm very happy to know the story behind Murphy's law.

Hope you enjoyed

Silence

Silence,
not a noise,
just the faint sound of cat feet on the floor.
Creepy, yet peaceful.
Slowly I fall asleep,
forgetting the bad, dreaming the good.
A movement, than THUMP!
The kitten jumped on the bed.
Snuggling close to my warm body, purring loudly,
we both fall asleep.
And the silence remains.

My story

I still did t understand the raspy voice on the other end of the phone, and quite frankly, I didn't really want to know. It scared me, knowing that I had put my family in danger, and I don't quite know how to fix it. I got a text message from Kayla. "All is fine here, you okay?". I didn't really know how to reply so I texted back "ya, all is good."

My parents pulled in the driveway, when they came inside I asked if anything strange had happened
"Nothing other than your phone call." Mom said
"Are you sure, did anyone follow you or anything?" I asked
"No, not that I can think of."

I still didn't know what to think. Everything was just so puzzling. I went for a walk to try to clear my head. As I walked I absorbed everything around me, the sounds, the smells. That I heard something, a faint noise, sounding like a muffled cough. I couldn't tell where it was from because of the echoing among the trees, but I knew it was close. Almost as if it was following me.
"Hello?!" I yelled. Nothing, no noise, just complete silence. The silence these days was driving me crazy. As I counting to walk I heard another sound. This time I spun around to see my good friend, Allie, walking behind me.
"What are you doing here?" I hissed
"I got your message, you sounded like you were worried, is everything alright?" Allie replied
"I'm not sure..." I said "I'm not really sure of anything anymore..."

It was all my fault

"She's in danger... It's all my fault..." That was what I kept saying over and over again in my head. I couldn't believe I had let this happen. The truth is, none of this should have happened, I was completely covered... Yet somehow they found me, and they dragged the people I love into it.

The story goes like this. I was adopted, but what my parents didn't know was what I did before they adopted me. I was trained alongside other children. We were trained to be agents. When I got older, after I was adopted, I learned that I was the last agent to keep using their training for good. The rest of them had either ruined their cover or had begun using their training for bad. Learning this I decided to settle down and live a normal life.

A few months ago I got some weird letters from people I didn't recognize  they weren't anything big, just them saying "We know your secret" or "You can't hide anymore", I guess I just didn't really thing anything of it.

Needless to say, they found me, and they do know  my secret, a secret I have been trying to forget for years. And now the people I loved were in danger. I checked my phone, still no messages from Kayla. So I decided to call the number.
"Hello?" I said.
"We know your secret, you can't hide anymore." A raspy voice said
"What do you want?" I replied
"We know your secret, you can't hide anymore." The raspy voice repeated
"I asked you a question!" I yelled
"We know your secret, you can't hide anymore." The voice repeated. I hung up the phone. The more I thought about it, the weirder it seemed. Why would it repeat itself, was it a machine, a recording? But most of all... What was going on....

I'm back...

I'm back... So here's a short story

A warm summer day, the sun was out, birds chirping. It was perfect. I decided to go and walk to my friends house, she did live just down the road from me. I knocked on her door, there was no answer, just silence, not even her dogs were barking. I turned the door handle, it was unlocked. I walked in to find things strewn around, like as of someone had come looking for something. "Kayla?!" I yelled. No answer. I walked around, the place was a complete mess. I walked outside, nothing. No dogs, no Kayla.

I ran as fast as I could back to my house, hoping that maybe she was at my house. She wasn't. Everything was quiet. I was beginning to get quite scared now. I grabbed the phone and dialed my parents cell phone number.
"Hello?" My mother answered.
"Mom, are you guys okay?!?" I asked frantically.
"We are fine, is everything alright? I thought you were at Kayla's." I didn't know how to tell her hat everything was wrong so I just told her that she wasn't home and said goodbye.

I grabbed my keys and walked outside, making sure all the doors were locked behind me. I decided to take a walk around the house. I heard rustling in the woods. I looked around but couldn't see anything so I continued to walk. I didn't she anything out of the norm so I decided to go back and check out Kayla's place. On my way over to her house I decided to try texting her
"Hey Kayla, everything okay?"
No response. I continued walking to her house. I felt my phone buzz. It was a picture message from a number I didn't recognize. It showed a picture of Kayla, drinking coffee, walking with her grandfather. The date of the picture was a few minutes ago. Kayla was in danger, and it was all my fault.
